Hurco spindle brake problem

Hurco MB3 shuts down and blows fuse when spindle brake released

I had a similar problem with a KM3 and added a time delay between brake off and spindle start. I also had to disassemble the brake cylinder and clean/reseal it. There was an amazing amount of crude in both of mine. Is it safe to assume that you have verified good pressure and flow to the brake cyl?

Electrical brake at the top of the motor. Disconnect the wiring to the brake and put a meter between the three wire to see if one winding is short. Then check each wire to ground.
