Need to buy encoder for Hurco BMC 4020
It is 1996 Siemens motor and encoder. Hurco has none. The ones on EBAY come from China and I am convinced they are all crooks. I have ordered 3 from different vendors and all mailed back and forth about various reasons why they couldn’t send them and did I want a refund? Is there a place in the US that I might try? I will post part number tomorrow.

I don't know that they have what you need but I am pretty sure these are not made from CHINESIUM. They are JAPANESIUM.

I am thinking you may need to find one that is same fit and function but not the same brand/model.
Can you find any identifying numbers or names on the part you have?
Is it on the spindle or an axis?

It is a Heidenhain ROD320.020-2500

Search for a ROD320.020-1250 or ROD320.020-2000 and see about changing the resolution in the CNC config parameters.
