ht 20 keyboard lockup

I have a HT 20SII Seiko control
seem to get something about SP 23 alarm
I know how to rest this but the problem is the small keyboad under the monitor
keeps locking up I can shut down start up then sometimes it works
but will eventually lock up once I can get keypad to work I can reset parameters to
clear alarm but then keypad will sometimes lock up
difficult to set up machine without keypad
once set up machine all operates fine

That is due to the keyboard controller going bad - they are know to be faulty on these controls.
