    Default ITNC 530 question M140

    If i command a M140 after the TOOL CALL will it create an issues? I would like to do this to make sure there is Z retract before rotary axis re-positioning on restarts.

    there can be a problem with MB only if there won't be enough space to move to programmed retract.

    clearance is no issue. I just want to ensure it doesn't cancel any tool length information.

    Also, is these a command goe sending a machine to axis extent? Like a Fanuc G91 G28 Z0

    Not exactly. It goes away along tool axis. So if the plane would be tilted it won't move back along Z as G 28.

    And it won't mess with tool length either.
