Default Help Connecting PC to TNC151A Please?

    Hello All,

I have a Bridgeport Interact 1 running Heidenhain TNC151 A and am trying to connect my laptop (With serial port) to the machine with no luck so far. Here is what I have so far:

    - I have a dell laptop with serial port running windows 7
    - I have windows 7 running TNCREMO downloaded from heidehain
    - I have a null modem cable which I think is the correct configuration form my reading
    - I have the machine ready to run
    - I start TNCREMO and Server from within REMO
    - Selected local host which brings up the Baud rate and other options
    - Baud 9600 laptop and 2400 machine (Have tried 2400 laptop as well)
    - COM1 is shown as comms port on my laptop so that is selected on server setup
    - Selected TNC151 and have tried A & B versions
    - I have tried FE ME and ME Send Only

If I leave it COM1 I get an error of serial port and it says to check setup

If I press auto select in TNC Server for port it selects COM3 but then says it failed to initialise

Any help or what information you require to help would be very much appreciated.

    Kind regards,

    Colin

    Update with further details:

I no longer get the check setup warnings so assuming I have that part right now.

If I select the wrong port on TNC Remo then I get the error - 20001608h No response from TNC

If I then select the correct port I get this error message - Error 2000160Eh Interface cannot be activated

I'm hoping the fact that the code changes when disconnected and connect means something is working but perhaps a setting is out.
