    Hello everyone,

How can I touch a work piece that is clamped on the rotary table in a titled way (e.g. not parallel to the X axis) with a mechanic 3D sensing device? The controller needs to know that it should adjust the part e.g. parallel to the X axis. Controller has G7!

So far I only worked on a Phillips 432 with rigid table.

Many thanks in advance for your answers.

    Regards Manne

I don’t know a suitable machine function for a mechanic sensing device.

    Solution:
Touch two points, note down the position, calculate the angle with the calculator and set the corresponding zero point of the C axis.

You can calculate the angle of the controller with ICP.

-> Open a new program in the editor, enter 1st point in XY, dress soft key ICP, select diagonal line and enter 2nd measuring point. The angle will then be displayed on the screen. G7 won’t be needed.
