    Hello everybody
Hope somebody here can help me out... Hermle UWF 1202 with TNC 426
My workmates always go into the positioning program to choose a tool, e.g. Tool Call 25 F400.
Then T25 appears on the left side at the bottom in the manual mode.
That means each time door closes and Start then it opens again.
I am sure there is a different possibility... I just haven’t found it yet...

    Can anybody help me out?

When the door is open then automatically all axes are locked. As far as I know, they can only be unlocked by closing the door.
Why don’t you just use a tool changer? Simply enter L=0 into the tool table and measure the tool with a final dimension.

    Hello
I think you misunderstood me ..( or I have express myself in the wrong way)
PS: the tool changer doesn’t exist.

Then like this: I want to mill a surface manually and I need e.g. a measuring head. Tool 25

At the moment, however there is a drill inside -> Tool2.

Now I change the tool manually...and now I don’t know how to tell the machine that Tool 25 is now in the milling head?...

As far as I know that only works over the “Tool Call”. Otherwise the controller doesn’t know that there is a different tool in the spindle and that it needs to process with other corrections.
    You recognised that problem:

Now I change the tool manually...and now I don’t know how to tell the machine that Tool 25 is now in the milling head?...
Exactly for that purpose there is for example the MDI, to carry out manual tool changes so that the controller is able to recognise the change.
Of course one could just insert the tool manually but then the controller doesn’t know that fact until you carry out a “Tool Call”.

    Regards
    Gerd
