Pics of setup? Sounds like you need less rake on your cutter, Al Bronze is "grabby" stuff
I am struggling to put a 6mm external ball groove in some aluminium bronze, not sure what grade it is but I could find out. Running at about 500RPM, feed 0.06mm, no pecking just feed in and rapid out. Just ran one before and it chattered like crazy, the tip broke then the billet near enough came out!
Any help will be much appreciated.. Unsure if it will make any odds but I am using a Harrison alpha 400.
