    Default PLEASE HELP!! hardinge chnc1 battery replacement

    hello everyone I bought a hardinge chnc1 lathe about a month ago
    finally powered it up the other day on the screen it says battery alarm power
    i assume i need to change the battery can anyone tell me exactly where it
    is located it has siemens controlls

    ....If, possible Backup any parameters, programs, etc before replacing battery. Quick search found this thread about 810T machine...

    there could be a coin style battery on the memory board along with the 3.6 volt battery that you access from the back side where the crt is
    if the control got a memory board upgrade then it only uses the 3.6 volt battery
    you replace the battery while the power is on
    getting a back up of the parameters is a good idea before replacing the battery

    If you have a Siemens control, it is under the panel that covers the back of the control. Be sure to have the power on before removing the battery cartridge. If that does not fix your problem, there is a battery on one of the boards too. But don't pull boards if you do not need to.
