I just measured my Conquest 42, which is NOT a T-42. It's 80L x 55W x 68H. 10,200 LBS. Not sure if this helps.
Okay... I did it. I purchased a Hardinge Conquest T42 with live tools, C-Axis, big bore and Tailstock. I also got about 10 live tools as well as a bunch of static tool holders.
I pick it up tomorrow and am wondering if it fit through my double doors, which are 72 with the doors removed.
Some specs I read say the machine is 70" wide while others state 76" wide. Which is it? If it is indeed 76" wide, can I remove covers or some other things that would allow it to squeeze through the doors? I would love to hear your thoughts.
Thanks,
David

Thanks Jim. At least it's in the right direction.

Looking good. You are going to love that machine, very repeatable. Mine holds +/- 0.0001 consistently, not bad for a 30 year old machine.

I took a look on EBay and didn't find anything. Pretty sure you can get them from Hardinge.....$$$ If you have the manuals for the machine the part numbers should be in there. You could also build some. The geometry is not complicated. 4150 or 4340 would make good tool holders. I can supply pictures and dimensions if you like. I don't know if my turret is the same as yours, but it might give you a starting point.
