VF2 Serial port problems
I just purchased a new to me 2000 Haas VF2. The top serial port is physically missing. I initially tried to upload programs through the second serial port but had no luck communicating and then come to find out Haas says only the top serial port is for file transfer. Inside the cabinet I can see a dangling ribbon cable (see pictures) and I am assuming it is supposed to go to the missing serial port PCB. Hoping to just buy a new serial PCB from Haas and plug it into that cable but the label on the cable says "RS232 video". Any insight to this problem would be greatly appreciated.
