Haas VF-4 spindle /year 2008

Does anyone know If a VF4 belt drive spindle can be converted to work in a direct drive application?

With enough work probably, not sure if its really worth it though, what for?

I have a new belt drive spindle and have a direct drive machine that has very bad bearings as well as spindle taper damaged.

aah like that, yes it should be possible, easier to buy a new spindle but, yes this is doable.
