Default VM2 Z azis cover leak

Shut the valve to the coolant off so I could wash the table down, and coolant started leaking out of the cover around the spindle..and around back where the black plastic sheath covers the coolant line coming out of the tank.
Anybody had this sheet metal off and or similar problem.. info would be great.
    Thanks
    Gary

Not sure what a VM2 looks like under the hood, but on a VF2 you get a good view of the leaky places below
Look at the 0:35 second mark and the 1:30 second mark for the side plates on the casting that tend to leak.
Apparently Haas used wriggly's juicyfruit as a gasket on several models back in the day.

??? If you mean the spindle sheet metal cover, there may be screws at the top on the backside also. Holding a captive piece of sheet metal for rigidity, like on a VF2???

...wait. What year is your machine and what spindle? Inline?, 30k?, 40 taper? ...?

    Anything like the attached image?

I have had success. I will do a picture filled post with the "hidden" screws and what you do and don't have to do
    Thanks,
    Gary
