Default Haas VF2SS Power Requirement (Phase Perfect)

So I know that there are other threads on this and I have read as much as I have been able to find but am hoping to get some help from people that have seen or experienced setting up a VF2SS on lower power.

I have a small shop space with 100A single phase service. I only plan to have a single machine in there. The only other things using power are a compressor (17A full load), mini split (20A full load), computer and lights. I have heard of people running a PT355 (20hp) Phase Perfect converter running off of a 40A single phase breaker to run the machine. In that case why not just get a PT335 (10HP) Phase Perfect? In a real world setting will I lose power if I run a PT335 (10HP) with the machine? Should I even bother with the PT355 if I only have 100A single phase service?

Its crazy to me that the VF2SS backplate says 67A full load, when the DM2 says 17A full load. You would think their power claims would be consistent across the board but they say the DM2 is 15hp and VF2SS is 30hp and yet the VF2SS pulls 4 times the power?

Thanks for everyones help in advance.

The published Haas DM2 power FLA seems low (17 amps @ 220V) for a 15HP machine. I would expect it to be at least double the published specs.

We're running a Haas TM-2p (7.5HP spindle) on single phase on a 50 amp breaker. It's nameplate FLA is 25 when running on 220V 3 phase, never checked actual load on single phase. This machine is rated for either 3 or single phase.

I think a 100 amp service might be a bit low for a 30 HP machine.
