We have 2 of the above mentioned machines. Our issues have slowly become more of a major pain in the last six months as we have added more tooling to the carousel.
We now wish to use 2 "large" tools, 4 inch diameter slitting saw blades. Once we load that tool it summarily removes 2 tools and it does not care which ones it takes.
Our question is this. Can we create a tool library, or better posed 2 separate tool library's, within the machine that allow the machine to remember that T120 is a large tool with a length offset of 6 inches, and it will be in pocket 20, with a second tool library that lists T20 that is NOT a large tool, and also located in pocket 20?
We want to be able to switch to a different table to run these larger tools by merely calling up this different offset and that machine knows that when one set is called it must leave the adjacent pockets empty.
Our operators are not normally tasked with changing tool pockets and moving tools in the carousel, they load T1 in the spindle and touch it off and move on to the next tool when needed.
