We recently bought a 2005 Haas Toolroom Lathe TL2.
the machine was operating fine before shipment.
After installing the lathe, the machine powered up well.
during the powerup/restart cycle we imediately found error 123 Spindle Drive Fault
pressing the button powerup/restart a split second it says moving, than generates the fault.
investigating the cabinet in the back, during that split second, the red led is on at the vector drive of the spindle.
we measured the incoming power - 3 fases 402 ~ 404 volts
we measured 330vdc on the power in the machine
encoder is working, manually rotating the spindle gives output on the controls
door cycle also checked and confirmed.
looking back in the alarm history, we found the 123 error multiple times before, but the machine operated afterwards.
1. Is there a way to check something more?
2. Is there a way to temporary trick the controls as it look like a safety thing is holding up.
3. Which part is the most likely bad one?

you said you measured 330 VDC but what does the DC Bus say on the diagnostics page ?

Did not check.
we heard the servo amplifier make noise on trying to start.
We have a TM1 mill that has a 45A amplifier.
we swapped the 60A out with the 45A and everything is working as it should!
We are not in a rush, so we will send it out for swap or repair.
