Yes, I always like seeing how others install machines.

    Yesterday I received my VF-2

A couple of days ago we got a lot of snow, so luckily I had arranged for a proper truck to do the lifting

And after a couple of hours in its final location:

Machine is now up and running!

Since I'm not at the workshop everyday I'm thinking of placing a circulation pump or two in the coolant tank to keep the coolant from going bad.

How do you guys with machines in your home workshops do this?

I would say it's very dependent on the type of coolant, since some mixtures are made for long-life, whereas others aren't. There's also additives that can be used (anti-bacteria etc). You'll get a bajillion recommendations on coolants so that's kindof opening up a can of worms.

That said, I do indeed run bubblers that in my tanks. I can't say that it's a make-and-break solution, but it definitely doesn't hurt anything.

Got Cimcool 620ff which should be a good long life alternative. I also put an aquarium pump in there (quite powerful..) to keep the coolant circulating while im not there.

    Gonna get a skimmer too.

Machine is a beast! Nice hobby machine

    Congrats!

I'm new to Haas. Looking at the picture it seems like the spindle is still in the from-factory shipping mount, any reason for that, like a storage thing, or is the install just not finished?

The picture was taken the day before the HFO set it up
