Default Getting the 179 alarm on Haas VF2

Getting the 179 alarm. Filled with oil still alarmed out. I jumped the switch wires and it runs fine. Question is where can I get this switch? It looks like the oil pressure switch on my old Jeep. Any part numbers or do I need to order from Haas?
    Thanks

Go to the Haas website and you can put in your machine serial number and it will come up with all spare parts for your machine. It’ll give you a price too. At least you’ll know what part you are looking for if you decide to get it elsewhere and a ball park for the price.

It just occurred to me that possibly just jumping the switch is not solving the problem. Although I can see air bubbles moving in the line when I jump the switch.
DJM, I just looked it up, looks like thy want $75 for a $3 oil pressure switch out of a Jeep. Wonder if anything is special about this switch?

Yes, that switch should work. Just like the pressure switch for the lube system in the rear, just a $3.00 switch from NAPA.

mike, from what I have learned this is a 1-2 psi switch which must be so because the oil runs out of a overfill hole when it's full so there can't be much pressure there. More or less a circulator maybe.Would you know of a part number? Thanks

You are talking about the reservoir or tank, there would be no pressure there. I'm not sure what the pressure is, but try a simple ford oil pressure switch.

Okay, took the spindle cover off and removed the pump and found the gear that runs the pump ids toast. Have one ordered from McMaster. Also while inside there I found my Z axis ball screw is dry. Shouldn't that be oily?

Not dripping with oil, to much oil is not a good thing either. It could be dry way up top where the ball nut never comes in contact.
