Please post the print or problem, no mind-readers here, yes there are parametric programs.
I'm on a 97 VF-3 and have a bunch of open ended slots to do of varied lengths.
We do not have macro (I should be so lucky). My CNC programming software is SURFCAM but I don't want to re-program for every part.
How could I go about programming these with just changing a number for the OAL and/or width?
Is there a place on the web that explains parametric programming?
software version 9.39N
Thanks in advance

Been doing this too long
I have 25+ different lengths of tooling that need a groove cut in them .33 wide by .14 deep.
I would like to be able to just enter the OAL as a parameter and go. Something an operator can do without changing a bunch of numbers. It sounds simple enough but I have doubts of doing it without the macro option.

I don't think you are going to get that done without macros. Well, how many passes are you making? Could you maybe prgram in incremental, at least for the length? Then you could maybe only have to change one or two numbers in a program. Not exactly the same as programming with macros, but it could save you from having to repost the program for different lengths.

I am just hoping to find something a button-pusher could do. I do miss macro programming.
