Default chamfer and corner rounding issue

hi , I have recently been using a vf3 with series 15 control and cannot understand why the c and r commands on a g01 line wont work .I keep getting alarm messages such as "division error" and something like tangent error in group 1 corner rounding... .

I have used these commands many times on the later control and have looked in the manual and looked through the settings but don't know why this machine doesn't like it?

any help sorting this would be great

    cheers

G02 or G03 uses an R command, G01 is linear.
