retrofit vf4 7500 to 10000 or 12000 rpm spindle

Can a 2005 vf4 be retrofitted to a higher speed spindle? This one has a 7500 rpm spindle with a 2 speed gear box and thru coolant.

We had something kindof like this done to an earlier mill for other reasons, so I'm sure it would technically be possible...but it'd be VERY expensive. A lot of new pieces of hardware would be swapped out, plus who knows how many pieces of electronics too.

I suppose the place to ask is your HFO, as to whether they could offer the service..

From what I was told, Haas and its HFO's will not retrofit a higher rpm spindle. It is what it is.

Thanks for the replies. I phoned Haas tech line and they said it was not possible.
