File Transfer from 3.5 Floppy
Hello all. I have an easy question but it sure has kicked my butt. I have an older HAAS SL-20 lathe that has a 3.5 floppy drive for file transfers. I need to transfer a file from the floppy to the lathe's memory and don't know how to do this. I can copy to the floppy from the lathe but I need to know how copy from the floppy to the lathe. Thanks Jon

Re: File Transfer from 3.5 Floppy
Press (List Prog) button
Blinking dot should be in bottom left corner
Type File Name:----Example Only----(1234.txt)(1234.nc) or whatever you named the file with the proper file extension.
Press F3 Button (Disk Read)
If program loads it should be in the active memory.
Hope this helps, MegaMoog

That worked today. I might have a disk going bad, it didn't work yesterday. Thanks for the help. Jon

It's pretty hard to find a working floppy these days. Get floppy-USB emulator adapter, they are pretty cheap and will save lot of your nerves.
