to convert T.P.I. to metric pitch you divide your number of threads per inch into 24.4mm because 1 inch =25.4mm.
e.g. 8 T.P.I. =25.4 divided by 8
=3.175mm pitch
I've been using a TL2 for a while now. I'm familiar with the thread repair function in VQC, having used it for a variety of jobs - even tapered threads have come out well. Today is the first time that I've needed it for a metric thread, and I'm not sure I can make it work!?
I've cut metric threads using the normal "OD threading" cycle in VQC. All the numbers have to be entered in imperial - no problem. But using the "OD thread repair" function I'm forced to pick my "TPI" from a list. Metric pitches are not available! Help!

sorry for misunderstanding your question,i apologise
perhaps you could change setting 9(dimensioning) to metric and see if this helps.
Works
