Brand new to cnc and want to build to spec

I'm looking at wanting to build a rotary cnc with a working area of 1000m on the y axis. Does seem doable, turning pool cue blanks and cutting inlays 3mm. I have a cnc I bought with a working area of 11" and figured I could extend the frame to to give myself the y axis I want and allow x to be rotary. Thanks in advance guys I'm brand new to this, figured I would try and start where I need to be opposed to gradually getting there.
