The total cutting section of the bit is 22mm and the lower upcutting part is 8mm.
I use a Workbee CNC with lead screws in combination with a Makita router.
In both tests, the top and bottom were nice. In the first test more vibration was noticeable and there were some burrs at the transition from negative to positive part.
I can't find any recommendations from CMT for this bit. Due to the larger DOC than the rule of thumb (0.5 x diameter) I am afraid I will ruin or break the bit. Speed is not very important, mainly the quality of the cut and the life of the bit.
Does anyone have some advice or experience with a single flute 6mm or 1/4" compression bit in 18mm or 3/4" plywood?
