    Default Koike D11

We have a Hypertherm/ Hybrid Koike D11, and am looking for the installation manual for the RS-232-C settings. Our old network computer died and now we can not get the Cnc Plasma controls to send or receive. I need the protocals for our new DNC.

Does any one have a suggestions.....

The RS232 settings should match the settings of the communication software in your host computer.
What is the communicating software in your pc?

    Default thanks for responding

The D11 control is set up to retrieve nc programs from the host PC. Here is the protocols in the link-setup screen on the koike cnc.

I have the Link setups for my Koike Hybrid - D11

    • DNC TIMEOUT (SEC) 3.0
    • ASCII REWIND 8
    • ASCII DIALOG START 33
    • ASCII DIALOG DONE 42
    • ASCII DIALOG PROMPT 3
    • ASCII DIALOG ACKNOWLEDGE 62
    • TRANSMIT DELAY 10
    • SCAN FOR ctrl-Z DOWNLOAD OFF
    • SEND EOT UPON DOWNLOAD FAIL OFF
    • DOWNLOAD MEM CAPACITY AS % 30
    • AUTORELOAD POINT AS % 25
    • RS-232C BAUD RATE 9600
    • CHARACTER CODE ASCII
    • PARITY IGNORE

I have tried easyDNC, DNC Precision, and NCnet lite4.1. No luck as of yet.

Those parameters are all fine. What is necessary is to have the program in your host computer to have the same parameters.
There should be an 'ini' or 'config' file in the root directory of the communication software loaded on your pc. Set those parameters to match the ones on the D11.

brothers computing has a great one Customer Support -- Download
20 supported ports many pre set configurations. 450.00 though.

DNC32 is a 4 port dnc link that's free if you can find it.

Two things that I would look at first. Back in the day you could get pc with terminal rs-232 cards PINS 2 and 3 swapped. today they are all host. So some cable surgery could be needed. 2 Com port is off in the bios. Very common with new machines.

I just looked at dnc precision's software that should work. althought turbocut link allows you to just select the machine from a drop down box, set the baud and pararity and you should be off and running.

    Default D-11

Just finished setup of the Turbo Cut CNC Link Program, it works great. Thought I would never get a link system for this controller.

    Default D-11

Nitrodog, Did you understand that you need a Link communication program to use the D-11? This is what we just went through to get one of these working.

I installed a replacement screen from RS for my Hybrid D11 (big rubber buttons, not membrane). The backlight might use different power. I think I burned out the backlight on mine. Also, pins 2, 4, and 9 need a 10k ohm potentiometer to adjust contrast. But otherwise, it is a direct bolt in replacement.

    RS Stock #:70518203

While I had it open, I removed the button board and cleaned that with CRC electronic spray and a paper towel. I blew off the paper fibers. The buttons all work like new again!
