Hi,
New to the forums and hope someone might be able to help me. I have a
Vicon 8000 Fabricator Model 2000 give or take a year.
Running version 2.20 of the Vicon cutting software which uses a double seek process when seeking home.
It seems to find the x-axis correctly but upon seeking the y-axis it comes in fast once, backs out fast, then returns slow (which should be normal) but upon going to home it travels very slowly across the table along the y-axis and requires an e-stop or controller flush to stop it's movement. If stopped with the e-stop a window pops up giving 3 choice on whether to resume cut, flush controller, etc. If I choose to resume cut it will move to the correct x-axis position and it will move 2 3/4 inches in the positive direction on the y- axis from where it stopped with the e-stop and stop. It now thinks this position is home and will over travel engaging the over travel limit switches.
We've had our table for approx 7 years. Ran flawless while we had it. we recently sold it to another company and we assisted them with the set up. We've been out twice and thought all was good. We everything set day 1 after some issues setting up a new home. Then had computer issues in which the drivers were lost. That was also resolved. This morning they called and indicated that the machine is not homing correctly. Sounds like the same issue that you have listed below. They tell us that the x axis appears to be correct, however the y axis is over traveling and bumping the limit switches. They had not turned off the computer from when we were out there yesterday, only the table. This occured the first time they opened the software and tried to home after we had several successful attempts at cutting after machine reboots. Seems to be losing its home accesses. We are stumped. Any assistance or information you can provide would be greatly appreciated
We're having much of the same problem. When the table tries to seek home it never lands in the same position on one axis. We've tried replacing limit switches and risk wearing and replacing belts on the table. If you set the position manually and don't see home it works perfect.
If anybody already paid Vicon for the information on how to fix this it would be amazing if you could share it!
Im out of stuff to try.
