Do you know what clicker dies are for steel rule die cutting flat materials like leather, foam, gasket, etc.? One of the ways they make the die bases is to cut a very narrow groove in 1/2" thick polycarbonate (can't be laser cut like wood backed dies). The groove is usually 0.028 to 0.055 wide . The CNC cutter acts like a very precise jigsaw.

Has anyone seen this done and do you know of an oscillating tangential knife/blade head that will cut a 0.028 to 0.055 wide groove through 1/2" thick polycarbonate? Is the blade round by chance (like a diamond coated wire) so it cuts more like a wire EDM?
