Turn 3 axis CNC into a 2d scanner (using stitching to create large scans).
I want to mount a camera on the machine, shoot photos in an overlapping grid, and photo-stitch them into an accurate scale image of what is laying on the bed of the table.
This would enable me to scan and accurately vectorize full size tracings from clients and contractors, something I need frequently.
Tormach made something like this - theirs only runs on mach3, which I can't run on my Techno CNC.
Has anyone done this before?
Thanks,
