    Default Parts counting

Not sure where to post this.. I am looking for an efficient way to count small light weight parts. We have a scale, but it doesn't detect the small weight differences of the smaller parts. Counting by hand posses 2 problems, time consuming and human error possibilities. I was thinking something mechanical, whether it is a laser or what, not sure. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks for your time.

Maybe a more sensitive scale for the smaller parts?

Other than that, I would need to see a picture of the parts and a bit more information. There may be other ways to do it.

we used a 10lb.x .004 capacity scale. The problem becomes the sampling. We run these parts from tubing that can vary in wall thickness. We have to hand count samples with each run. Sometimes we have an order for only 200pcs from that lot run, but the scale would need a sample of 500pcs to do a pc count weight. Thank you for your time. I appreciate all suggestions.

Maybe a photo eye system would work as long as you can get separation between the parts. Maybe something like these. https://www.automationdirect.com/adc...s/Fork_Sensors
