    Default mach3 emergency Watchdog alert

I am trying to install a cnc three axis DYN4 servo drives, DMM breakout board and Ethernet ESS to CNCPC. When I run mach 3 with the DMM xml file i get the e stop active status and EMERGENCY WATCHDOG TRIGGERED in history.
I have tried all the recommendations from the ESS site about this warning but nothing works. The operating system is win 10 -64 bit. would appreciate any help on this issue.

Turn off Watchdogs in General Config.

Strange that it is turned on, as default it is normally off, as Gerry said you can turn it off in the General Config page, near the top Right hand Colum

I thank both of you for the support. I tried it and the flashing green cursor persists
If it is any help , i can see the cursor flashing as soon as the mach screen appears, even before the choice of port /ESS radio buttons appear.
It also happens if the actual drives and motors are turned off. The ESS is being powered by the CNCPC for its 5 volts. It also does it when the ethernet cable is unplugged .
any suggestions are more than welcome in sorting out this devil of a situation

report from History as reproduced here
Also, if i use the MILL option instead of ESS mach3 the reset button pops up BUT I AM ABLE TO RESET
And the program starts running (not communicating with the machine)
so it must be a conflict between the ESS software and the mach3

If the reset isn't working, you have something setup incorrectly.

Ger21 thank you for your observation
i will try a format and fresh installation.
does it mean anything that it is doing it ONLY with the ESS file ? All the other options work fine up to the point of transmitting. Communicating with the BOB is an other issue.

I would think that you have some incorrect settings in the ESS profile.

i have formatted and reinstalled the hard drive with only the mach 3 and 4 programs
The problem persists . The CNCPC is communicating with the ESS because al the buttons are flashing correctly. The Ess software is self instaling without room for teaking so i am not sure i understand your note about having incorrect settings. i would appreciate if you could guide me further

Here are 2 Videos that may help you get and check the Ess install, Open the first link and then then the other one

Thank you for your kind attention
please help me sort one thing out.
Once i push the cycle button on Mach 4 , the LED buttons on the ESS start flashing correctly
top green solid /bottom green flashing.
This is the correct sequence as per manual.
this means that the issue is between the ESS and the BOB.
Kindly let me know if this is correct

Yes that is correct, this does not mean that the output is correct this, check the output signal's to and from the Dmm Breakout board, the next would be to see that you have set the Servo Drives in step / Dir mode

    Thank you for your input
Kindly explain your latest tip on Step/Dir
DMM tech have a tuning cable that links the servo drive directly to the CNCPC via usb
This is where I set the driver to work in PULSE/DIRECTION mode. I know that it took the command because a diagnostic within the program shows that it is in this mode.
If however you are referring to as setting within Mach 4 then I draw a blank and need your kind input on this one.
I am running only one axis..
I tested the output cable and confirm that nothing is coming out so i must have some configuration issue

Further to the previous message I found the section for step/dir and confirm that they are set that way.
I need to check that the output and input are assigned correctly as I am relatively new to the Mach program
I would appreciate any guidance on this end
