Default very jerky motion on Robodrill T10B Fanuc 16mb

    Hello Guys

I am new here , and I am newbie , I am struggling with my machine as I can't get a smooth motion , not even at low feed rates around corners.

    What could be the issue?

I forgot to mention is that I tried a bit of program posted from another cad cam , and it does interpolate a spiral very smoothly at 100ipm , and it looked like , it could have been much faster.
I don't know if there is something wrong with the cad I use , or if it's just a machine issue when it changes direction around corners or either when it switches from g1 to g2/g3 or vice versa.

I actually haven't , but I think would be a good thing to do as there might be something wreong with the program posted from the cad cam , I will definetely try!

    Many thanks!

it might be how the cad is outputting the program
if it is out putting a lot of code the control may not have the look ahead set to do what your cad is putting out

    Change your output settings
Is the cad cam outputting the arc as G2 or G3 or is it breaking it down into g1 commands (some do )

Cad is outputting arcs in g2/g3 , work very well on helical interpolation , but then it struggles a lot when it needs to process lot of arcs on x and y , not sure if it's a post processor issue.

the control might have to have high speed machining turn on
this could be an option or you could try G05.1 Q1 R1
G05.1 Q1 turns on the high speed look ahead (increases the number of blocks that are looked at
the R1 specifies speed over accuracy (1-10) can be used R10 favors accuracy over speed
    to turn it off G05.1Q0
There is some restrictions to it i believe it must be turned on after the tool length comp and turned off before tool changes

    Hi,

I have already tried that , but I get improper G code.I do have G08 by the way , but it seems is making no difference!

I am also drip feeding program , drip feed works , but not sure if there other parameters I need to look at other than the "standard" ones for drip feeding
