    Default Port tooling

Looking for info on machining the male side of a ms33514-E4 port in my cnc mill. Wondering if anybody knows where to get a key cutter with the required profile for the undercut of the threads (where the o-ring sits) and for the internal taper and counterbore so I can cut this feature in my mill. Or is this always done in a lathe. Also why are there so many different specs and so many different ports and old info and new info, trying to sort out what i need is giving me a headache. Anybody got any great sources for smooth lining all this info? Thanks in advance!

Port specs can be a nightmare. You will find that a lot of the old MS specs have been superseded. Sometimes part of the original numbering system is carried over in the new name. Such as MS33514 being superseded by SAE-AS-33514.

Most ports have good tooling support in the industry. Here is a supplier I have used in the past.
