New from East Tennessee hills
I have ended up here a hundred times from google searches about CNC so it must be the place to be. I had a hard time registering because hotmail blocks cnczone for some reason and it took me a while to figure out to go in and add cnczone to the safe senders list.
I am wanting to build a CNC router about 2' x 4' and have pretty good wood and metal working tools and computer skills. There is a lot to learn and I am feeling my way through it before I jump in and buy. Ball srcews, rack & pinion, belt drive, stepper size, linear motion types, drivers, software, etc......it is a lot to absorb. I would like to be able to occasionally make an aluminum part too, even if slowly, for other hobbies.
Lots of good info here.
Thanks,
Mark
