Default Fine tuning a metal business card

    Hi,

I'm trying to fine tune a metal business card. I'm engraving with an Omtech Polar 50W laser, which is a 50W carbon laser machine.

When engraving, the lettering appears to have "ghosting" or embossing around it, which I think means the engraver the lettering with too much heat. Also, it's not filling the lettering evenly.

I'm not sure what to do from here to fine tune it. I'm at 350 mm/s and 20% max power with 15% min power. I've played around with the settings from there but I only have so many metal cards to test and my results aren't differing too much. The DPI of the text is at 396. I haven't messed with any other settings other than to set the exact the card, which is 1.1mm.

Below is a photo. Ignore the text on the bottom side.

I don't have a better practical solution to this issue.
