Question Imported DFX drawings are tiny

    Hi,
I just got a Chinese laser (HX3040) and all my DFX drawings open up REALLY tiny when imported into Newly Draw.
The same drawings open up full size in Sheetcam and Corel 12. They are type 12 DFX files from TurboCad.

Anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

BTW, My laser arrived from China with a broken tube and a beaten chipboard crate with the cover half off and held on with rope. I don't know what happened to it during the 3 days DHL had it, but it looks like it went on an African safari. Luckily the machine seems mechanically fine.

I was hoping one of the Newly Draw users would reply to you. I use the LaserCut software but maybe yours is similar.

In Corel, I set it to metric and write down the sizes, then I save it as .ai or .dxf. When I import it into LaserCut, there is an icon on the left that you click that brings up the size window and it gives you the dimensions of the imported drawing. You can also change the size there, and I make sure the numbers are the same as I had in Corel.

I don't know if that will work for you, but maybe it will point you in the right direction.

Newly Draw users... speak up !!!
