Mirror size D12, D18, D20

Hi,

I am busy building a CNC CO2 laser (40w). I can’t seem to find any info on the different mirror sizes. Is D20 better than a D12, or does it not matter?

I am busy building a CNC CO2 laser (40w). I can’t seem to find any info on the different mirror sizes. Is D20 better than a D12, or does it not matter?

For 40w they should all work but if you ever want to upgrade the tube I’d go with 18mm or larger. You don’t pay a penalty for a larger mirror except for cost.
