New Laser Tube Beam does not look right

Hello, see attached picture. This is a 100W laser tube freshly installed. I am getting the beam with the Max power set to 12% with the tape on the mirror directly in front of the beam. I installed it 1/2" away like my previous tube was. Any idea why it would look like this? I have never seen this.
