Default Anybody experienced with Ruida RDC6445g - Speed cap

    Hi All,

I've just finished building a CNC CO2 laser cutter and have the Ruida RDC6445g as the chosen controller.

Everything is running very well with the exception of a speed limit that I can't find. I'm unable to get either axis to move at a rate faster than 400 mm/s. This is an issue because I have an 80W laser and at this max speed, my engraves are still far too powerful.

I'm interested to know if anyone has found the same problem and how I might get around it. Also, if anyone knows of an easy way to reduce the power of the beam, maybe filtering some out or redirections some of the energy?

    Many thanks,

    Luke

Fixed this issue on advice from another forum. The issue is that the controller will engrave faster than 400, but will not allow manual movements of greater than 400.
