Hi i have a Atomstacker 5.5w compressed spot fix focus laser and in the x direction it a very tight beam that cuts through 3mm ply in 3 passes. in the y direction its at least 2 to 3 times wider and at 8 times around and still not through. Im focusing how directed with a 2mm spacer below the shield.
Hi Shawn, I have the same engraver and just yesterday had a problem with it not cutting all the way through in some places. First as it is a fixed focus system the spacer you use to focus should be 3mm, seccondly depending on how long it has been opperating and the types of material being engraved/cut you may find the lense has built up a film, this may be causing focusing issues, try giving it a gentle clean and see how that goes.
