    Default Weak x-axis output

I'm having issues with a selfbuilt laser cutter. (900x600mm xle gantry from lightobject) it has a 100w reci tube and a ruida controller.

I'm guessing this is due to beam alignment, but I'm not sure. When engraving a square 100x100mm, I only get the lines on the Y-axis engaved, on 16% power. when I crank up the power to 30%, I'm able to engrave the x-axis lines as well, allthough their weak.

when engraving a circle though (30% power) there's a uniform output.

could there be some settings I need to adjust (step lenght or speeds?) that could fix this, or is it all due to misalignment beam?
