What is the best material to engrave with CO2 laser?

Hey guys! I'm relatively new to laser engraving and have been looking at several CO2 machines to start.. I'm also trying to figure out what material I should use for my designs. What do you guys think?

co2 laser machine is usually used in sign making industry. it cuts acrylic with smooth edges and less waste.
