Chinese Laser - What to beware?

Hi, first post here... I'm trying to decide between the G Weinke LC1325D model (130 watt) quoted at $4900 vs the Zing Z1325 model for $4600 (pdf proposals attached).

We bought an old CamTech with a 50W Synrad laser... but it's on it's last legs.

We'd prefer to just design stuff... but we do need a new laser. Why do people buy a Boss laser for 17K? I heard they just buy a Weinke laser then upgrade it... is this true?

What are some of the risks with buying a much cheaper Chinese laser... vs a very expensive Boss, Universal, or Trotec laser?

We need to be able to cut 1/4" acrylic.
