80W can cut 1/4" easly , around 10mm/s. Are you sure it is perfecly aligned? Are you working with correct focus?
I just got this machine a week ago, I have aligned all the mirrors and done a ramp test. I’ve tried running it all the way up to 85 power/ 5 speed and it still isn’t cutting through 1/4inch Baltic birch. Any suggestions would be appreciated

How is it when cutting other products?
If your laser is cutting 1/4 inch acrylic or solid wood easily, the machine is probably working fine.
Plywoods can be tough to cut.
Some of the glues used have mineral fillers in them and you can't laser rocks.
Baltic birch can be a problem in that even 1/4 inch has multiple layers of glue.
I even have issues with certain multi layer plywoods when using a CNC router.
Sparks fly off the bit which is then sucked into the vacuum system.
If other materials cut without issue, its the glue, not your machine.
