Default 50 W laser - sparks on power supplie

    Hello everyone,

I have a problem with my 4040 laser machine, there is a 50W red unit. Yesterday, while engraving, I heard a strange sound coming from the power supply. After opening After opening the lid, I saw arches and sparks. the lid, I saw arches and sparks. With 30% power I don't see any problem, but above 40% starts to be bad.

Could this be a problem only with the power supply unit, or could it be some other problem, for example, with a laser tube?

I attach the video. Thank you in advance for your help.

Humm, sure does look like a bad supply.
Can't tell from the video but if the arcing is coming from the high voltage transformer, replace the power supply--- period. Its very hard to stop the arcing once it starts. .

Thank you for your reply. So the arcing come out of the high-voltage transformer. I tried to use silicon But it didn't work.

One more question: or maybe you could fix this power supply. If I replaced transformers with new ones or would it help?
