I have a Chinese HL1060 laser that I am in the process of configuring / setting up. It is to my understanding that when focusing the mirrors, the laser should be centered on each mirror. When it came time to focus my laser head. I removed the focus lense and started my process. Placed a piece of tape underneath the head and found that the laser was pretty far off from center. I centered the laser and placed the lense/nozzle back on. After firing it seems as though the beam pattern is far worse. Instead of it being a clean thin point. It is now a messy looking line. I removed the nozzle and undid my alignment in the head and put the laser back to where it was previously. It now fires a clean beam. Is this normal for laser optics? Am I focusing the laser improperly? My focus lense is clean. Any help is appreciated.
