Default Reduced power under certain circumstances

    Hello all,

I have had a K40 for a few months now. I’ve swapped in an Arduino with a CNC shoes running GRBL as I couldn’t stand the garbage software that came with it. This setup has been working great.

Recently I started using a new material. It’s a glass tile, with what I’m guessing is a ceramic backing. To etch through the ceramic and make an image appear through the glass, I’m having to move the laser at much slower speeds than with my wood projects. This works really well when the laser is sweeping left to right and blipping the laser on and off quickly. When the laser is in a vector cut mode where the laser is on for an extended period of time, the power fades over time. This leads to strange outputs. I have attached some images that show what is happening. Does anyone have any ideas about what the problem could be?

I have replaced the power supply because that’s what I initially though the problem was.
