Default ARCHING ON LASER TUBE AND LOSS OF POWER

Hi everybody I am from Mauritius .I am a newbie in co2 laser cutting .I need some help.i want to know when the laser beam power supply is on, but not firing. you can still have a certain amount of voltage on the high voltage line (about 200 volts) and you have arching in the laser tube near the high input voltage line and when firing you have loss of power.please see attachment

Sorry cant see any attachments... You say arcing in the tube... do you mean other than the normal laser firing plasma? Or do you mean theres arcing at the electrodes? Maybe a duff tube, or dodgy connection...

How is the laser connected to the high voltage line from the power supply? Is that where the arc comes from or inside the tube itself?
