    Default Laser cutting Issue

I have been running my 180w CO2 laser using Mach3 with good success.

I have been using the M 10/P1 and M 11/P1 commands to turn the laser power on and off.

Recently the laser has been intermittently shutting off and then back on. Within a given file it is shutting off and coming back on at exactly the same places each time I run it and speed does not have any effect on where it shuts off and comes back on.

The first photo shows what the cut should look like and the second photo shows what I am currently getting.

It seems to cut circles just fine.

I have manually turn the laser on while running the parallel lines program and it cuts just fine.

Anybody have any ideas as to what is causing this?

    Thanks
    Chuck

It sounds like the program itself is turning the laser on and off. Have you checked the G-code for some unexpected M10's/M11's?

Can you run it with RDworks - is it a Ruida controller?

Yes ,I have checked the G code for an expected M10/M 11

The strange part of this is that it ran fine a while back. And it’s doing the intermittent cutting on other files that have run fine before.

I don’t have access to these, but I have run one of the files on a different MACH3 machine and it worked fine.
