40W Chinese Laser Y Axis Not Working Only In Scan Mode
It's pretty much what the title says. I've had a 40w Chinese laser that has been great for the past two years. Hadn't used it in a while, so I downloaded RDWorks V1.21. I hooked it up to the rotary bed the other day to etch some gifts for a friend's nonprofit.
When I turned it on, it reset both axes fine and even set the origin fine with the arrow keys. I went to etch the Y was dead. Then I think maybe it's my rotary table.
I turned it off and swap back to the flat bed. Nope. Still not working on print. Resets fine, you can move it around fine with the arrow keys, it'll even work in Cut Mode just fine. The Y Axis just doesn't work in scan mode. If I frame them, it'll trace the box fine, but just won't print in scan mode. I thought maybe it was the software, so I went back to my original software version, and that didn't help either. Which makes sense now because even on old files that I had stored in the laser itself it don't work.
